Soul Connect is headed up by Jimmy Young, an experienced youthworker with a passion for
seeing young people develop the gifts God has given them.

He grew up in Cardiff, and studied Psychology at Durham University before moving onto work as a church youth worker in Hertfordshire where he realised how much more could be achieved by churches working together. Whilst working closely with other local churches he saw commitment to working together, allied to a joined up approach to schools work and youth group activities, help to develop an attitude that unity is normal Christian behaviour and create open and welcoming spaces for non-christians to connect to.

His passion is for this to develop in Dorking, and progress so that Soul Connect is recognised as a safe and welcoming place for anyone to join in with.

He is an obsessive football fan, and will happily watch any match available but considers all teams other than Arsenal to be mere space filler! He has also been a compulsive viewer of Lost over the past 7 years, and will happily discuss the mysteries of the island in between wondering what to fill his spare time with now. In between watching football and Lost he enjoys listening to music, spending time with his beautiful wife, and being an international spy, moving in high-rolling Monte Carlo society. (One of that list might be made-up!)

(He wishes it to be known at this point that if Arsenal get to the champions league final, or Wales qualify for a major international tournament, he should be considered unreachable during the times they may be playing!)
